Awarded a Fellowship by Jentel Artist Residency in Banner, Wyoming during the months of July and August in 2013, I was one of four visual artists and two authors to live and work on a 1000-acre ranch. There I was given a huge studio space to work uninterrupted and produced three large canvases and a group of ink on drafting film drawings. Building on the direction of the work started in France, I broke away totally from any preconceived design or plan, beginning to let the freedom of mark making control the color and form of the work. I have also included the work produced in my studio in Chicago upon my return.
