Shown here are a few images from my one-person exhibition titled The Hidden presented by the Crown Gallery of Loyola University, Chicago. Concentrating on black chalk, charcoal, gesso on prepared raw canvas this was the first show produced from my current studio after leaving my previous space of 18 years. Using images of landscape in distress or upheaval this installation activated the long narrow gallery that looked out towards the lake and formed the working methods and attitudes of my work to this day. Also shown is an installation view of Nameless and Mute, a show produced in the same year and was a month long residency in the Chicago Cultural Center’s storefront studio space in downtown Chicago.
