This work had it’s beginning during my Fellowship at Jentel Artist Residency during the summer of 2013 and continued through much of 2014. Using the same grade of drafting film I began to experiment with different types of ink as the work was still focused on the lack of a predetermined design yet was centered on the sheet as more of an image of activity in limbo space. These are the forerunners of the later fields of washes that developed. The addition of red as a dominant color also began with these, as did the need for an even larger size.
